Surfstore Africa Surfing courses for beginners are designed for complete newbie but also for people who have tried surfing on there own for a while and still need help. Your Surfing Instructor will walk you through all the basics of Surfing to get you started and paddle in your first waves in Muizenberg, the safest and easiest place to learn Surfing in Cape Town.

Surfstore Africa surfing course participants learn about ocean awareness, wave breaks, ocean conditions, safety in and out of the water, wave etiquette, paddling, push up and pop up Surfing techniques, as well as riding waves and balancing. All Surfing students will start out in shallow areas riding the whitewater until they are comfortable with venturing further out. Our Surfing Instructors are ready to teach you the basics of surfing in Muizenberg's warm water in a fun atmosphere!

Surfstore Africa operates from Sunrise Beach, a non-crowded mellow beach break monitored by the False Bay Lifesavers for a maximum safety.

  • S pack SURFING COURSE, 2 days couse, 3h teaching: course designed for complete beginners who want to learn the basics of SURFING.
  • M pack SURFING COURSE, 3 days course, 4.5h teaching: takes complete beginners to a level allowing them to practice SURFING on their own safely in or open water without supervision.
  • L pack SURFING COURSE, 4 days course, 6h teaching: full package for complete beginners.
  • XL pack SURFING COURSE, 7 days course, 6h teaching + 6h additional equipment rental: learn and practice Surfing, and become a real Surfer!

Your packing list:

Surfstore Africa provides all the equipment for your surfing adventure: Surfoard, leash, wax and wetsuit! Just bring regular beach items: swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and a bottle of water. If you have your own surfboard or wetsuit, you are welcome to bring them along.
